Costa Canyoning. Experience an adventure of a lifetime in one of Mother Nature’s tropical waterfall fun parks! We are returning this year after an amazing first season in Uvita, South Pacific, Costa Rica.

We have 6 waterfalls varying in height that are in succession from smallest to biggest. This allows the guest to become comfortable with rappelling before descending Iguana Falls, our last and most adrenaline pumping waterfall.

All our techniques are demonstrated by professional qualified guides with over 10 years of international canyon guiding experince (Switzerland, France, Italy, New Zealand, and Costa Rica).

The tour starts at the Costa Canyoning Base Camp where you are introduced to your guides and the equipment you’ll be using (harness, descending device and helmet). From Base Camp it’s a 5 min. walk to the top of the canyon where you will receive thorough safety instructions before starting your adventure.

When you reach the first waterfall (which is 5 meters, or 15 feet high) you will be taught the fundamentals and proper techniques of rappelling. Then you are on your way – with 5 more waterfalls to go! The largest of the falls is 25 meters, or 75 feet! The canyon ends at the Uvita River where there are some pristine swimming holes to relax and reflect. Then the Canyon Cruzer will pick you up and take you back to the Costa Canyoning Base Camp where you will receive a happy landing snack and drink.

Safety

Costa Canyoningruns under the strict guide lines of the Swiss Outdoor Association (S.O.A.) which holds one of the highest standards of safety in canyoning. Our head guide is a SOA Canyoning Guide 2, the highest canyoning guide certification Switzerland has to offer. All of our equipment is new and meets all climbing and canyoning safety standards. Our guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.
You need to be an active person in good health. There are no special skills and experience required for our tour, just a sense of adventure!
