Rafting Pacuare Two-day tour
Rafters who choose our two-day trip get to enjoy many different elements of the Pacuare River in the daytime and during the night. We provide many exciting activities while on and off the river. Like the one-day tour, guides start the day with a safety speech and begin rafting from the Tres Equis' put in. After venturing through some of the thrilling rapids, we stop to explore some of the beautiful waterfalls located in the hidden canyons.
Halfway through the first day you will reach camp, where we provide a delicious lunch and a "happy hour" where you and others can share some of the day's adventures while sipping refreshing drinks. In the evening, the guides prepare and serve you a scrumptious dinner. You will comfortably sleep in our little bungalows with tents on platforms. Each tent is equipped with two beds and a one of a kind view of the Pacuare River.
You will wake the next morning to the joyful singing of the various birds around the camp. After breakfast, you have the choice of a hike to the indigenous reserve of Nairi Aguari, where this community will welcome you. The people of this community are happy to converse and meet new people.
After the hike, you will continue rafting down the river, enjoying the last of the rapids and the scenic views. The trip ends at the bridge in the town of Siquirres. After exiting the river, the guides will lead you to a small café with changing rooms, a shower and a drink.

Turrialba Volcano Hikking |

The Turrialba volcano is located in the Central Mountain Range of Costa Rica and reaches an altitude of 10,955 feet. It is one of the most unique active volcanoes in Costa Rica in that trekkers are able to hike down inside the main crater and explore and observe the life and views from inside the volcano.
We start the tour from Turrialba where we load into our 4-wheel drive transport and head north to the volcano.
During the 1 hour and 45 minute drive to the crater you will be amazed at the views of the Turrialba valley and by the landscape as we get closer to the top of the volcano. You will be leaving the tropical jungle behind and climbing into the beautiful high-elevation cloud forest and beyond that to the páramo. As you climb into the clouds you will feel like you are leaving Costa Rica behind as the temperature gets colder and the vegetation changes dramatically.
Once we arrive at the top, we begin the hike down into the crater. On the way down you see a number of very interesting plants that only grow in this high altitude and unique climate. Once in the crater, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Caribbean coastline of Costa Rica. After taking a few minutes to enjoy this view, we continue the hike down where you can begin to see the three distinct craters that make up the cone of the volcano. The oldest of the craters is thousands of years old and is no longer active and the youngest one is less than 200 years old.

One Day River Rafting on the Pacuare:
We begin the tour in Tres Equis; a small town located two hours from San Jose. Before entering the river, our guides give an important safety talk, familiarizing rafters with the necessary commands and safety instructions. After practicing some commands and drills you will start rafting the Pacuare river. Shortly after entering, the excitement kicks up a notch as you enter the rapid, "Iniciación". You will quickly understand why some of the rapids have been labeled their specific names, such as Huacas, Dos Montañas, El Indio and Cimarrones.
Half way through the tour we stop at our camp, located on the side of a hill, overlooking the river. Guides prepare a delicious lunch for you, while you rest and enjoy the scenic views and the various flora and fauna of this region. After lunch, you continue your adventure down the river, braving more rapids and taking in the awesome surroundings. The tour stops when you reach a bridge in the town of Siquirres.
